Working with Kenemax

From First Call
to Final Installation

Every project is different — but the way we manage them isn't. Here's what you can expect when you work with Kenemax, from the first conversation through the end of your warranty period.

01
Initial Consultation
We Listen Before We Recommend

The first call or meeting is about understanding your situation — building type, what's happening with the windows, your timeline, and any constraints like landmark status, board approval requirements, or existing product conditions. We ask questions most contractors don't bother with. There's no cost, no commitment, and no pressure to move forward on any particular product or scope.

02
Site Survey
We Come to You and Measure Everything

We come to the building, survey the existing window conditions, and take field measurements. For buildings requiring LPC permits, we document what's currently in place — profiles, materials, hardware — as part of the submittal preparation. For repair projects, we assess each window and document the scope. For new installations, we measure openings so product can be specified accurately before any order is placed.

03
Proposal
Clear Scope, Itemized Pricing

We provide a written proposal that breaks down exactly what we're doing and what it costs. No bundled numbers that obscure the scope, and no allowances that blow up later. If your project requires board approval or multiple stakeholder sign-off, our proposals are structured to support that — clear line items, full product specifications, and a format that boards and property managers can work with directly.

04
Permits & Filings
We Handle the Paperwork

When permits or filings are required, we prepare and manage them. For LPC projects, we handle the full Certificate of Appropriateness or CNE submittal package — drawings, specifications, material samples, and all Commission correspondence. For standard window replacements requiring NYC permits, we manage that process as well, so you're not chasing paperwork while waiting to schedule installation.

05
Scheduling & Installation
Coordinated, Efficient, Clean

We schedule installation around your building's needs — coordinating resident access, working with building management and supers, and sequencing work to minimize disruption. Our own crews handle the installation. We don't subcontract the work and walk away. Every opening is completed clean, every window is tested before we leave the floor, and we don't consider a unit done until it operates the way it should.

06
Warranty & Follow-Through
We Stand Behind the Work

All Kenemax installations carry a 2-year workmanship warranty. If something isn't right after we leave, call us and we come back. We're not a company that disappears after the check clears. Many of the buildings we work with have been clients for years — not because we lock them into contracts, but because when something comes up, we show up.
